The Art of Roly Hermans: Local Kapiti Artist who enjoys taking flight.

Art has the power to transcend time and space, allowing us to glimpse into the depths of the human experience both past, future and present. Roly Hermans, is a Kapiti based painter who creates work that is inspired by the artwork that graced the boxes of the plastic model kitsets he used to buy as a child. He still makes models, and brings his modelling skills into his paintings, applying his love of detail and accuracy.

Kāpiti Coast Biodiversity Project ‘We live here’ sign series - Anne Johnston

Working with the wonderful volunteers at the Kāpiti Coast Biodiversity Project, Anne and the Biodiversity team devised this idea to tell people about all the incredible native wildlife hidden on the Kāpiti Coast north of Wellington.

From Pukerua Bay to the great expanses of Queen Elizabeth Park through to Whareroa Farm, the not-so-obvious wildlife needed a little promotion to assert themselves in their own environment.

With a 75% loss of income, this not-for-profit organisation needs our support to secure its future.

Maps can bridge the gap by providing a visual representation easily comprehensible to all. In today’s world, it is critically important to engage the public and build support for infrastructure projects.

Jane Comben (Pogo Design) has the experience and understanding to achieve what a council and the public seek.

Brett loved the opportunity to try something new and enjoyed the challenge of discovering his first Dragon hidden in a block of limestone.  The colour of the limestone ended up a little golden which was perfect.
