Looking for light exercise, with fun and an edge? Pétanque could be right for you

Kapiti Pétanque Club

Pétanque is simple to learn, low tech, inexpensive and easily accessible

  • It provides social stimulation, friendly fun, exhilarating challenge and intense competition depending on the level you want to play at

  • It is probably the only sport that can be played competitively at any age from 5 –95, and equally by men and women

  • You don’t have to be fit, fast or strong, people of all abilities play Petanque

  • Bad back? Use of a magnet can be used  to pick up Boules

Kapiti Pétanque Club has been featured in the local news recently, providing results and celebrating the successes of our local players in the various tournaments held throughout the country.   The game, though, is not just restricted to those playing competitively. There are a lot of social players who enjoy having a throw.  Our annual fees are inexpensive and you can play as little or as much as you want.

Come and meet the club members.  You will get a warm welcome, tuition and all equipment would be supplied while you decide if the game is right for you. For your protection, covered shoes need to be worn.

We are situated in Aorangi Road, between the Rugby Club and the Sports field.

Our Club days are  - Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 4pm

- Thursday morning from 9am to noon
