New American Style BBQ Food Truck kicks off in Kapiti

Alice and Craig are a couple who have been working in the hospitality industry for, respectively, 15 and 25 years. Craig is a kiwi chef with a wide passion and knowledge of food especially when it comes to anything on a  BBQ.

As for Alice, she has been working as a venue manager in Wellington for the last few years. She grew up in France in the hospitality environment and always had a passion for this industry. 

After being employed for all those years the couple wanted to do it for ourselves and with the financial help and professional support of an ex employer and friend we decided to take the plunge. 

Serving American BBQ style food has been on their minds for years and they always wanted to run an unpretentious small business close to the community. 

They are aiming, as the business grows, to work in the most sustainable way possible and also want to support local producers. 

Alice and Craig are excited to become a part of the Kapiti community as they have been wanting to move up the coast for a few years now and can't wait to embrace the Kapiti coast lifestyle. 

Their new business ‘Smoked & Pickled” is based at Sheffield street, Paraparaumu.

Hours : Thursday to Saturday 12 to 8pm.
